BIOGRAPHY

Hi, I am Lila and welcome,

We can all feel anxious, depressed or worried, especially in these unprecedented times due to Covid-19 and the uncertainties. Issues with Relationships, Intimacy, Work, Career, Parenting can become even more stressful now but remember you are not alone and reaching out for help is good and courageous. I am an experienced and qualified psychotherapist with an international and multicultural background, working in private practice in Central London, UK. One of the aims is to provide high quality tailored therapy to my clients. Sessions can be online through Zoom, Skype, Teams, telephone or Face to Face.

Individual Therapy (includes cross cultural)

As an experienced and registered therapist/counsellor, I can help you understand, cope, and find relief from your situation, whether experienced in the past or present. I hold a BSc. degree in Integrative Counselling and a Masters (MA) degree in Intercultural Communication and Relationships, both gained from the University of Surrey. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and my practice is safe, confidential, and non-judgmental.

I also work as an accredited holistic life coach should this be a better option for you than therapy. Therapy focuses on mental health and emotional wellbeing, whilst life coaching is about clarifying, setting and achieving your goals or dreams. Combining skills from life coaching and therapy is proving to be very successful with clients.

Couples/marriage therapy (includes intercultural relationships

I work with individuals and couples:

When working with couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy from Dr Sue Johnson. It is one of the most successful couples counselling modalities, based on 30 years of groundbreaking research. In a nutshell, it is based on how we ‘emotionally bond’ with our love partner and the difficulties experienced when one of the partners is unable to do so.

People seek couples therapy for various reasons, and it can be anything that is causing stress and anxiety within the relationship or marriage. Below are just some examples of the issues I have been dealing with lately:

  • You are regularly arguing, where fights erupt easily, and your relationship/marriage is very much affected by it
  • You feel betrayed by your partner because he/she is having or had an affair – there is no trust anymore
  • You are looking to enhance passion and romance into your relationship/marriage
Jealousy and possessiveness are becoming increasingly unbearable and causing lots of tension and anxiety
  • You are experiencing anger and resentment towards your partner
  • One of you want to leave the partnership – thinking of divorce
  • And more…
